we're going on holidays!

As 2017 comes to a close, it is really a great time to reflect on the past year and what a year it has been for the team at The Print Group!

A big welcome to all our new clients that have joined us over the past year and a big thank you to our long term clients who continue to help the business grow!

The Print Group has really bloomed this year and we have been busy working on a number of projects. We have really found a niche market with printing training materials and as such launched a new business earlier this year called The Resource Vault. The Resource Vault develops training resources for the Vocational Education & Training Industry, which are all designed and printed by The Print Group.

We have also had amazing growth with our other business – Padtastic Personalised Notepads, all due to the power of social media! The LBD Planners and personalised notepads and notebooks have been a big hit, which again are all designed and printed by The Print Group.

We really are a close knit team here at The Print Group, so wanted to share with you a little more about who we are!

There is something about a printed book that I just cannot give up. Well before I worked in the print industry, I had a deep connection with books and reading. One of my favourite memories as a child, is finding a shady spot under a tree in our front yard with a picnic blanket, my dog and a really good book. I find as an adult, that when I pick up a good book, that nostalgia kicks in and you will find me reading in any corner of the house with my nose in a book, deep in concentration and completely in a world of my own.

There is just something about holding a book in your hand and the act of physically turning a page that really cannot be matched with words on a screen. Books have a physical beauty, they are tangible and they engage multiple senses – a book is something you can hold, feel and even smell.

Books have been around for a very long time and people generally have a deeper relationship with books over digital formats like e-books. I personally, have struggled to read e-books and always revert back to good ‘ol paperbacks.

So today, I wanted to give you 8 reasons why reading a real book is better than e-book:

what is case binding?

Case binding is the most common binding method for hard cover books. Case bound covers can be made of cloth, vinyl, leather or printed paper secured over cardboard then attached to the internal pages using glued-on endpapers. With case binding, the internal pages of the book are sewn or stitched together in page order, then attached to the hard covers.
